Pet Insurance

We love our dogs and want the best for them.  That's why we should all consider pet insurance.

Accidents happen.  A friend of mine got a new puppy that had growth problems and needed two hips replaced.  It cost thousands.  Another friend had her dog jump out a car window and brake her legs.  It cost about a thousand dollars.  That's stiff, and pets are too important to not pay for medical care.  I know that no matter how expensive, I'll pay anything to take care of my dog if she is injured or sick.

The Pet Insurance Solution. Thankfully you can now get pet insurance, which works a lot like the insurance you get for yourself.  It usually covers required surgeries from your dog or other pet's accidents or even natural problems like hip growth problems.  Most pet insurance plans require a monthly payment and also a pet insurance deductible should you need to use the insurance.  (continued below)

An example pet insurance provider is QuickCare Pet Insurance.   QuickCare provides pet insurance in both the US and Canada.  It offers three levels of service for dog insurance:

1. QuickCare Gold - accident and illness program that protects your dog in virtually any situation.

2. QuickCare - good for protecting against major accidents.

3. QuickCare Senior - a great pet insurance program if you have an older dog.  It protects against many illnesses and ailments that strike older dogs.

It doesn't cost much.  OK, we all want pet insurance, but can we afford it?  The QuickCare basic program is only $9.95 and covers things like poisoning, allergic reactions, and bone fractures.  Considering the potential cost for dog accidents--thousands of dollar--less than $10 a month is a deal.
